About Windows 11 and its shortcuts

Windows 11 is the layer underneath everything else on a PC, and its shortcuts win before any application sees them. The useful groups are window management and snapping, virtual desktops, the taskbar, screen capture, and the accessibility tools. When a shortcut inside an app refuses to work, a Windows command holding the same keys is the most common explanation.

Some commands depend on features being present: snap layouts, the clipboard history and the capture tools can each be switched off. Keyboard layout also matters, since a key printed on one layout may sit elsewhere on another.
