About

Shortivo is a keyboard shortcut reference and practice site, published by Niche Bloggers LLC. You can search by what you want to do, or by the keys themselves, and see the right combination for your app and your operating system.

It is an independent reference. It is not made by, endorsed by, or affiliated with any of the companies whose applications it documents.

What you can do here

How the catalog is built

Every shortcut here is a record with a source. Each one names the official documentation page it came from, and carries the date that page was read.

Records are marked in one of two ways, and the site always shows which. Documentation checked means an official page states that combination, on the date the record carries. Not yet source checked means the combination was transcribed from a published reference but no review has been recorded yet, so it carries no date at all.

Nothing in this catalog claims to have been run inside the application it describes. That is a different and stronger claim, and this site does not make it.

The full method, including the rules about what is never done, is on the editorial policy page.

What this site does not cover

This is a partial view of the full official references, and it says so rather than implying completeness. Where an operating system, an application version or an environment has not been checked, it is listed as not covered instead of being guessed at.

Software changes. A shortcut that was right on the date a record carries can be changed by an update. If you find one that is wrong, please tell us, and it will be checked against the source.

App names and logos

Every application name, logo and trademark on this site belongs to its owner. They are used to identify which application a shortcut belongs to, which is the only reason they appear here.

Most app marks shown here come from a collection of brand glyphs released into the public domain. Where a company has asked for its mark not to be redistributed that way, this site shows the app initials on the product colour instead, rather than copying the logo from somewhere else. That is a deliberate choice.

Your data

Saved shortcuts, collections and practice results are stored in your own browser. They are never sent to this server, and they do not follow you to another device.

The privacy policy explains this in full, including what the hosting provider records.
