About Ubuntu and its shortcuts

Ubuntu's shortcuts belong to its desktop rather than to Linux itself: workspaces, window tiling, the activities overview, the launcher and screenshots. They sit underneath every application, which makes them the first thing to check when a program's own keys stop responding.

What applies depends on the desktop environment and the Ubuntu release, since GNOME changes defaults between versions, and other desktops have their own entirely. Everything here is also remappable in the settings.
