About Slack and its shortcuts

Slack is a program people keep open all day, so its keyboard is built for moving rather than for composing: jumping to a conversation by name, stepping through unread channels, marking things read, and reaching threads and drafts. The quick switcher is the one command that changes how the whole application feels.

Slack runs as a desktop application and in a browser, and the browser version loses combinations the browser keeps for itself. Workspaces with many apps installed can also bind their own commands.
