About Shotcut and its shortcuts

Shotcut is an open source video editor whose shortcut set is unusually complete for a free tool: playback, trimming, markers, tracks and the player controls all have bindings, and they are documented in one place rather than scattered.

Bindings are editable, and the application updates often enough that a command can be added between releases. Some only apply when the timeline rather than the player has focus.
