About Obsidian and its shortcuts
Obsidian is a local notes application built on plain files, and its keyboard centres on the command palette, the quick switcher between notes, and the panes and tabs you arrange around them. Linking notes is the action it is designed around, and it has keys for it.
Community plugins add bindings freely and every default can be changed, so two installations rarely match. Obsidian also changes defaults between major versions.
