About Adobe InDesign and its shortcuts
InDesign is page layout, and its keyboard reflects a long document rather than a single image: moving between pages and spreads, working with text frames and threads, styles, and the precise nudging of objects on a grid. Typographic commands are unusually deep here, because this is where type is actually set.
InDesign ships more than one shortcut set and lets you build your own, so the defaults published here can be replaced wholesale. Some commands are specific to the text cursor being inside a frame rather than the frame being selected.
