About Google Earth and its shortcuts
Google Earth is navigation in three dimensions, so its keyboard does things a flat map does not: tilting, rotating the view, and moving the camera as well as the position. For anyone exploring terrain, those view controls are the difference between a usable tool and a frustrating one.
