About Blender and its shortcuts

Blender's keyboard is famous, and for a reason: it is not an accessory to the interface, it is the interface. Commands depend on which editor your pointer is hovering over, and the core transform operations read almost like a language, with a key for the operation and then an axis to constrain it.

Hover context matters more in Blender than anywhere else here, so the same key does different things in the viewport, the timeline and the outliner. Keymaps are fully configurable and Blender ships more than one, including an industry compatible set.
