About 1Password and its shortcuts
1Password's shortcuts exist to keep you out of the vault window: filling a login on the page you are already on, locking the vault immediately, and opening quick access to search for an item without switching applications.
The browser extension and the desktop application have separate commands, and the global ones depend on operating system permissions and the application running. Locking behaviour also depends on your security settings.
